Prior Experience

My previous experience I would like to discuss was my trip to England in July of 2025, whilst being something more enjoyable than a real challenge, I still feel it really changed how I approach the world and helped me to develop a sense of independence and exploration as prior to then I had never been able to explore places I had never been before without anyone else as a result of the simple fact that I was still a kid, but in London I was able to explore the city on the Tube and see parts of the city that the rest of my family never did with the Regents Canal and Shoreditch. in short, it helped to make me a more independent and autonomous person as it gave me a freedom to explore that I hadn't ever had prior to then at that scale, with the whole city of London available to me. This freedom helped to prepare me for college as I have been in another city for college away from family with almost just as great of freedom with me being able to go anywhere in Cincinnati whenever if I can get a bus there or walk there. I feel a key part of being a global citizen scholar is to have actually seen and been inside of this world, and I think that comes from actually seeing the world and being able to explore and learn and see new things and places and I think that since of a necessity of travel came from how I have been so able to travel, which I am incredibly thankful for. In short, I feel that travel grants people an indepedence they need to explore the world and learn about it, which are key to being a global citizen scholar
